After reading this article I can better understand why the question of whether or not it is unethical for journalists to vote is not so easy to answer. Yes, every American citizen has the right to vote from birth, but what would people think if a political reporter, who is supposed to be un-biased and objective, were to cast their ballot for a particular candidate. I can understand why people might look at their articles in a different light, knowing that they favor one candidate over another. However, I believe that it is still an individual choice for journalists to vote or not. A good journalist should be able to keep their personal opinion out of their writing, no matter what the issue is.

I agree, I believe that everyone should have a right to vote. The fact that journalists may be more educated in regards to politics, does not mean they should not vote. Journalists are people as well and should not be held back because of their jobs.

I believe that journalists still have the right to vote. They shouldn't state who they are voting for, but personally not for the public to know, just to keep things safe, they can. Journalists are Americans too and if they feel they want to vote than do it. It still shouldn't effect their work, but it is their right.
